Graduate School Reading Strategies

In the Graduate School Reading Strategies workshop, learn techniques for reading research articles, texts, and other literature to increase comprehension and apply knowledge more efficiently. 

Graduate School Note Taking Strategies

Note-taking is an essential study strategy that enhances attention and supports comprehension of complex material. Effective notes help supplement memory and can be used to create review guides when preparing for exams. During this workshop, participants will learn practical strategies for active listening, note-taking, and reviewing material afterward.

Do you find yourself constantly putting off projects, assignments, or commitments? You may be caught in the “not now, later” trap. Learn the reasons why you might be putting off your work and strategies for how to break out of the procrastination cycle.

Understanding the Pitfalls of Perfectionism

While perfectionism seems like a worthy trait to have because it involves hard work and meticulousness, it has its downsides. Pursuing perfection is stressful and time consuming and can actually result in poor academic performance.
