High Impact Grants Spring/Summer 2026
The High Impact Grant has been revised to align with the University’s strategic goals and support external experiential opportunities for master’s and doctoral students. This Grant provides tuition support for graduate students’ courses that significantly enhance external training and satisfy credit-bearing requirements towards completion of the graduate degree. High Impact Grants are awarded on a competitive basis. Applicants must submit materials to the Office of the Provost by 5 pm, Friday, Oct. 3. Recipients will be notified by Oct. 24, 2025.

High Impact Grant Application Process
Application Process
Students must complete their application and submit the following materials through the online application portal by 5 pm, Friday, Oct. 3, 2025:
• Select the semester you would like to be considered for. You may only receive funding for either the spring 2026 or summer 2026 semester.
• Select the experiential course from the degree program’s approved list in which you will register for during the Spring 2026 or Summer 2026 semester.
• Describe how the course’s learning objectives will help you meet 1) your program requirements and 2) your career goals? (500-word limit).
• In what ways are you uniquely deserving of this award? What specific attributes will you bring to this opportunity? (250-word limit).
• Current internal or external tuition funding towards graduate courses (when applicable).

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Master’s or Doctoral students.

Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.

Applicants must be enrolled at least half-time (minimum of 4.5 credits) for the fall 2025 semester to apply.
Award Requirements
-
Spring and Summer award recipients must be enrolled in at least 4.5 credits for the spring 2026 semester to receive the High Impact Grant.

Awardees must be enrolled in the approved experiential course(s) selected on their application by no later than the week before the first day of classes for the spring 2026 and summer 2026 semesters. See list for approved courses.

Tuition grant amount: 3-6 credits up to $4,000.

Term of award: Spring 2026 or Summer 2026.

One-page post-award summary of the course work or training enabled by this award.
