Mentoring for Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence (MARIE)

Mentoring for Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence (MARIE)

The Office of the Provost is excited to announce the inaugural Mentoring for Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence (MARIE) program. This program will fund project ideas of George Mason University graduate students who are committed to advancing the values of access, diversity, equity, and inclusion at Mason. It is open to part-time and full-time master’s and doctoral students. Creativity in project ideas is highly encouraged.

The cornerstone of the Mentoring for Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence program is graduate student mentorship. Each student will work with a mentor (1-3 hours per week) to design and complete a unique project relevant to and appropriate for their educational/professional goals. Students who do not already have mentors at the time of application will receive assistance in finding one. Both students and mentors will receive resources to facilitate their success during the program. The application will be available on this page April 4, 2023 – April 24, 2023 for an award period beginning July 2023. To apply, please click here.
